Hop pellet dosing unit Z 20

The weighing capacity ranges between 2 to 20 kg per hop addition. The equipment is designed for the automatic dosage of hop pellets (type 45 and type 90). The hop pellets are delivered in foil bags.

Hop storage tanks are manually filled (e.g. once a week) with hop pellets. The number, size and capacity (200 kg to 1,000 kg) of the storage tanks depend on the brewery's demand for hop pellets.

CONVEYING, WEIGHING AND DISSOLVING

If the brewery has enough space available to allow the dosing machine to be set up on two different levels, the hop storage tanks will be placed in the chilled hop storage room and the weighing and dosing equipment on the level below.

A dosing screw is mounted on the outlet of the storage tank to convey the hop pellets directly into the electronic weighing unit below. The pellets are then conveyed to the dissolving tank where they are mixed with hot water. The dissolved pellets are pumped into the wort kettle.

If the hop storage room and the brew house are located distantly, the hop pellets need to be conveyed pneumatically. The conveying facility allows for the transportation of hop pellets over a distance of approx. 120 metres.

The dosing screw mounted on the outlet of the storage tank conveys the hop pellets to the pneumatic conveying facility. The hop pellets are then transported pneumatically to the electronic weighing unit in the wort kettle area. After their dissolution in hot water, the hop addition is pumped into the wort kettle.
